3rd Anniversary

Last week Tom and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary. We spent the morning at the farmer's market, and then went to The Counter (this is where we also went for our 1st anniversary) for lunch. Harper enjoyed some sweet potato fries:
And then later last week we went shopping at the Grove where Harper tried on some hats:

And had her first taste of ice cream. After we took this video she ended up with hives on her face, but we're not sure what she was allergic to in the ice cream. Any ideas?

Since last week was actually Tom's spring break, we got to spend the whole week together. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our anniversary.

Hives! What kind of ice cream? Any nuts in it? Strawberries? Harper is a sensitive little soul. We miss her too. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

The top scoop of ice cream was chocolate malted crunch and she didn't have a reaction to that. The bottom scoop was mint chocolate chip and she got the hives pretty quickly after having a couple bites. So there were no nuts, no strawberries, I'm not sure what the problem was.

3 years? Seems like only yesterday. Thanks for the great pics and videos. I'd check with the ice cream vendor for the contents of the ice cream. You might find a clue there. Congratulations on 3 years and on that beautiful baby!

It does seem like only yesterday! What an eventful three years it has been!

Happy anniversary - late!

Good luck on the ice cream allergy. You might check with the doctor when you are in for her next checkup. I think kids sometimes have pretty fast reactions. You may need to get one of those stick needles for her in case she has a serious allergy attack.

Happy Anniversary! This post makes me so LA sick. The Farmers Market was our favorite place to eat, a perfect date for us and lunch at the Counter, please stop the pain. It is all so sad for me. Sounds like fun, good luck finding out about the allergies.

One more thought...maybe it was just the cold of the ice cream...or maybe the icecream was "made in a plant where peanuts were processed"

I used to get hives from milk spilling on my skin when I was about Harper's age. I suppose it was just a sensitive skin thing-I am such a delicate thing afterall:) Anyway, if she is anything like me she will just grow out of it in a couple of years.
